Only have a Mk1, but I often use the equivalent
Mainly if I'm wandering round and there is a possibility that the battery is likely to run out during some sort of action photo session, wildlife or...

Re: Diesel Engine Runaway

Ah, but this was in 1988 when alternative diesels were thin on the ground.
My Disco 1 is a 300TDi.
The Lightweight doesn't do many miles these days, and is far from standard.
High Ratio transfer...

Re: Diesel Engine Runaway

I used to have a 2 1/4 diesel engine in the Landrover, which I eventually replaced witha 3.5 V8 when it started running on its own engine oil.
Compression was quite low, with high crankcase...

Re: Flickr for beginners

Iain, do you have the flickr app on your tablet?

The reason I ask, is that on my phone, I do have the app. When I enter flickr web site via chrome, rather than seeing the site in a browser window,...

Re: Old Lumix 14-150 Walkabout

I suspect Henry's missing problem has come about as it's difficult to share images on here direct from one's Flickr account using android.
I came up with a possible solution in This Post...

Re: Possible Future Sale

Tim, the tripod adaptor is only about 200g but it's detachable, so unless you're using the lens on a tripod, there's no need to bear the weight whilst taking hand held photos.
On the other hand,...

Re: 'Sock Puppet'?

The thing is, that it could be entirely legitimate; two people from the same household could have joined on the same day, and would also thus be showing the same IP address, and may be understandably...

Re: 'Phantom' Phone Call Charge.

Make sure you get it reported to VM asap.
Hard to imagine it happening accidentally as billing systems should be pretty much watertight security wise.
Are you on direct cable, fibre or twisted pair...

How on earth did a thread on Gateway Time-out problems become diverted into one complaining about censorship??

I really would urge folks to think carefully before they criticise others, including...

If you can see old exif but not recent, is there an option on the uploader to...

Re: Ceratiomyxa poroides: A Delicate Rarity
