Re: New MC 20 announced.

Thanks Tord. Do you use any sort of stock grip with it like he does?

Re: New MC 20 announced.

I have never tried an EE-1 and can't understand the advantages of it. Can somebody who has used one tell me if it helps?

It must take a lot of confidence to 'carry off' a camouflaged Yeti suit...

Re: Fen Raft Spiders 2019

Many thanks for the comments and 'likes'. I was at Carlton Marshes again last Monday and found two more Fen Raft Spiders so I have added an extra photo to the other two at the top of the thread.

Re: Communal Bird Photography Thread

A Swift over the back garden this afternoon. Version 3.0 firmware definitely seems to be an improvement but I now need my own software updating to keep up with them. :)

Re: Two cameras in one! so can't update

I am glad you sorted it out Stuart. This is another case where updating via Olympus Workspace should have avoided the problem. When you choose to update the camera, it checks that it is running the...

Re: v3 Firmware for mk2 - updates for mk2, m1x and lenses

I think the safest way is to run Olympus Workspace. Set it to check that it is running the latest version and then attach your camera with the appropriate lens in place. Get OW to check for camera...

Re: v3 Firmware for mk2 - updates for mk2, m1x and lenses

Despite my criticism of the Centre Priority setting I tried a few shots of passing gulls and they seemed to work pretty well. That was after I discovered that the update had changed my default...

Re: v3 Firmware for mk2 - updates for mk2, m1x and lenses

I rushed out to try this as soon as I had installed the update this morning but, like you, I still couldn't get it to perform as expected. I don't understand how it is meant to work.

Re: Communal Bird Photography Thread

Some nice birds and shots there Walti. I assume the stroppy terns are Arctic Terns? Lovely portraits of the female Eider but I think the bird with the Linnet is a Reed Bunting, possibly a juvenile.

Re: Zuiko 300mm PRO glitch

I frequently have a similar problem to yours Mark. I see a bird and place the AF target over it but when I half press the shutter button all I see in the view finder is a smudge instead of the bird....

Sorry David, I might have misled you a bit. These were taken on May 22nd but I have only just got round to processing them. I am not sure how many, if any, of them will still be present.
