Re: Olympus E-510 twin lens DSLR kit

Keith, it may help if you correct the lenses to the actual focal lengths?
I'm guessing they are 14-42mm and 40-150mm, although there IS a 14-50 panasonic lens.

I wanted a replacement stand for the FLST-1 stand which comes with the FL-36R. I wanted one that fits the soft pouch pocket too.

Spotted one on ebay and messaged the seller to ask for...

Re: 35-100 f2 on Gumtree

Occasionally when you do respond to an ad like this you'll get back a request to pay via some strange method like 'Ukash' and then they'll send the item... not.

If in doubt... it's a scam.

Re: Photos of my DIY OM-D grip - go easy!

Hi Ross, yes the fact that the front panel is stuck on with (very strong) double sided tape would concern me for larger lenses, although you try to pull yours off and you'll see how tough it is....

Re: Photos of my DIY OM-D grip - go easy!

No intention to market it, no. Just something in my head I had to follow through. It cost me around 40 but that was with machining at "mate's rates". Add another 30 for his real labour. Then my...

Re: What's the difference between "zoom" and "magnify" ?

Oooooh.... I worked it out for myself.

Can't get an AF green box whilst the view is magnified but I can get a tiny AF rectangle that fits within the small outline circle right at the centre...

Re: OM-D & 12-50 direct from Olympus UK for 920 posted

:)

Actually, 920 is the same as a new one at 1150 less the cost of the 45mm lens at 229 (free until 31st December), so if you want that lens (who doesn't) a new one is probably a better buy.

Fitted an anti-reflective SWIDO protector yesterday. Perfect except for one of the corners where it refuses to adhere. Not too worried, it's only 2-3mm.

One little tip - irritating bubbles...

Re: Olympus confirms new camera body for Four Thirds lenses

Maybe he meant "stupidly" in a good way, as in "bad" meaning "good" in modern speech?

As for E3 owners wishing their E3 was more the size of the E1... as far as I recall they are an almost...

Re: Insurance

You need to be careful your insurer doesn't regards 10 x 1000 camera items as a "collection" as then you would only be covered for 1 x 1000. Best to check with them.

Have a look at Axa online....

Re: where would you get one of these...Large eye cup

Re: EP2 or EP3
