Re: Robin Wong review of 17mm f1.2

Very true................and I will stick with the f1.8 versions which are still excellent optics and the perfect size for my Pen F. My zooms are reserved for my EM1.1.

Affinity Photo Special Offer

Affinity Photo has 20% off its normal 50 price until the end of the year. I have been waiting for a price drop and downloaded it last night. Bye bye CS6!

Re: Four Thirds 40-150 (f/3.5-f/4.5)

It is a very good lens and you got yourself a great bargain. I had one years ago when it came in a kit with my E500. I used it a lot on a holiday in Egypt and was very impressed with it. Occasionally...

Re: Olympus lens cap Rear

I have bought a number of ones from EBay (which look near enough identical to the Oly ones) and have glued them back to back with Araldite to make the storage of my small primes easier.

Re: Power on, no screen

It's not the end of the world if I don't get it fixed. I don't particularly need the camera but I did enjoy its tiny form factor with the 17mm f1.8 lens attached. I will have to sell it as non...

Re: Power on, no screen

The tip to use a torch to see the display more clearly was useful and i found the relevant part of the menu ok. Unfortunately i still couldnt get the display back so it is likely to be the...

Re: Power on, no screen

I have decided to try and get my EPL5 working as it is probably not economical to get it fixed professionally. I thought that the problem might have been the ribbon cable to the screen but if I power...

Re: Why two lines, PEN and OMD?

I have hardly used my EM1.1 since I got my Pen F..............it is so nice to use Not nicer than my EM1.1, just nice......and special.
I can even live with using it with my 40-150 Pro but with a...

Re: Opinion?

It is a very busy image and the glove is at the edge of the frame (partly going out actually). The bright area outside the window is distractive and draws my eye away from the interesting machinery....

Re: Lens protection / Filter

All filters will degrade the image to some extent. How important that is, is up to you. I like to maintain the highest quality of the lenses I have and I therefore rely more on lens hoods for...

Re: No MFT 2x TC

I was never really happy with my EC20 when I had 43erds glass. But then again, I didn't have the benefit of fast glass to use it with (I had the 50-200).

Re: Researching The 75-300

You have a very good copy there Ian. I agree that it is excellent VFM for what you get. I got mine a few years ago from HDEW.

Re: Affinity Photo Version 1.6

Re: DXO buys NIK

I downloaded it when it became free but when I try it, it keeps telling me that it is a trial version.
Why does this happen (I am using it as a plug-in to CS6)?????

Re: New lenses coming

I am happy with the range of glass that I have at the moment and see no need for these new fast Pro primes. I prefer the slower versions that I have as they sit nicely on my Pen F and are far better...

Re: HDEW Cameras

The EM1.2 is at a really tempting price (to me) at the moment from HDEW. Not to the missus though as it is less that twelve months since I was allowed to get the Pen F/17mm f1.8 combo :(.

Re: The 50-200mm Shines Again!

Excellent. My 50-200 is now history but I will be taking my 40-150 Pro plus MC14 on my EM1.1 when we go on a safari next July. That plus my 12-40 on a separate body (Pen F) should be all I need,...
