Re: Anyone print A3 ?

I agree with most of the points made. I have had many printers and until I brought an Epson P600 I was usually disappointed in the results and sent them off for commercial printing.

Re: Oly 12-40 vs 12-100 size and weight.

It all depends!!! I have both lenses and am in my 'mid 70's' and reaonably fit. As a UK resident I was due last February to have a holiday of a lifetime on the Australian west coast. Before this...

Re: Write protect on OM-D E-M1 Mark ii

Just a quick reply. Lexar about a year old, Samsung 3 weeks old. I have also tried other less good cards and all do the same.
I will be able to spend time tomorrow trying various ideas floated in...

Re: Write protect on OM-D E-M1 Mark ii

As an experienced user of PC's, I do all the correct procedures for reading the card. I don't intentionally write to the card and have looked for hidden files that might have written to the card...

Write protect on OM-D E-M1 Mark ii

When I download images from either a Lexar or Samsung Hi speed 32Gb card to a MacPr0 13" laptop I have no problems.
However if I perform the same operation to a Win10 PC ( high spec built for...

Re: Melbourne's Queen Victoria Market

Great photos - brought back very happy memories of February when we were in Melbourne. I loved the cotrast between the modern High Rise and the market. Sadly there was much discussion about the...

Re: Pushing Tri-X

Oh for those far off days! I seem to remember microphen at 1/8th strength with 8 times normal development time was OK for 3,200 ASA. This was with a Pentax SP2 and 50mm f1.8 used indoors.
In the...

Re: What programs for panorama stitching Mk II photos?

I know it does not answer the question BUT Photoshop for me works well. The attached was made from17 vertical RAW files (OM-D E-M1 Mkii, 12-40 etc) and was composed on 1 2010 MacPro13. Photos taken...

Re: OMD EM1 mk2 battery life in cold weather

Interesting! On my recent Australia trip, with temperatures in the high 20's, i found battery life to be inferior to damp, cool Devon. Also the camera got very hot. This was when I was shooting...

Re: Firmware Update

Quick question. Having updated the OM -D -E-M1ii and 8mm f1.8 fisheye lens the literature mentions the ability to go from fisheye to wide angle.

Having spent time trawling through many options I...

Re: Length of video clip

Have established that the maximum file size per clip is about 1.7gb which translates in 4K to 5mins and 7 secs. If you use a lower resolution then obviously the clip time will increase. I tried...

Re: Length of video clip

Mmmm it could be a corrupt data card but it is a ultra high speed card I specifically brought for the new camera. I will try an older, slower speed card.

Many thanks

Length of video clip

Have just completed a gig 4K video session with the M1 Mk11. Sound was excellent, via a six channel mixer, with professional mikes. However an unexpected result was that files were spilt, usually...

Re: Oly 12-40 F/2.8 PRO zoom jammed!

For what my pennyworth is worth! This lens can only be repaired by Olympus. Mine would not work at all and was repaired for about 120 and came back in about 2 weeks. Not cheap but was 'as new'...

Re: Performance of Legacy Lenses on Digital

All very technical but it's the image that matters? My OM 50mm f1.4 and 35 to 80mm f2.8 lens both work very well. However, the star is my 35mm f2.8 shift lens that is amazing. Oh and yes, I have...

Re: Classic lenses.

Ah well - all my OM bodies and lenses were second hand but the outstanding lens and one I still use if I can handle the weight on the OM-5 is the 35 to 80 f2.8 lens. Just fantastic! Am now waiting...

Re: Only 9 AF grids and x2 eyeglass

Thanks John. This was the answer to both parts of the question. How it got 'ticked' I don't know but it's a good way of finding all the options. Had the camera about 8 hours now and all issues...

Only 9 AF grids and x2 eyeglass

As is usual with a 'new toy' learning is steep!

Having had one post today I'm stuck again! The manual is not very helpful (like my E620!). Have only a 3 x 3 AF grid and a tiny x2 spyglass symbol...

Oly EC-14 with Sigma 30mm f1.4

I have always been disappointed with the Sigma lens as auto focussing, whilst very quick, has been innaccurate. So much so that I've used MF with my E620.

I have many other lenses, including...
