Re: E-M1 ii & 12-40 for 850

Looks doggy to me too hope it all goes well. The feedback looks a bit suspect too as there are many duplicate entries at differing prices often from the same person. Fingers crossed for you we are...

Re: "That back-to-front lens hood" - Post yours here.

Do you guys have a particular brand you'd recommend? There seems to be quite a wide range of sprays that come up when you Google dry silicone spray.

Re: Panasonic 100-400

Tord those are very interesting coments as you have both lenses. Especially the bokeh comments. I thought the panasonic had a slightly better bokeh rendering than the Oly 300. I was under the...

Re: "That back-to-front lens hood" - Post yours here.

Graphite sounds a good idea the fit on the 12-100 is really tight I'll give that a try Ross thanks. Should help on the few days we do actually get bright sunshine :)

Re: Anyone have a good way to remove filter spots

Yep thanks Dave I hadn't got the section expanded and it was set to luminance not saturation, plus the spot was on heal too! haven't managed as good a clone insert as you did yet but I guess that...

Re: "That back-to-front lens hood" - Post yours here.

Interesting Ross, I rarely turn mine round on my 12-100 unless the sun is particularly bright and in front of me. It's so stiff to remove and replace so I don't bother unless I feel it's really...

Re: Panasonic 100-400

I agree Ross it does look good, nicely done Larry. I had a go last night too wth my 40-150 plus 1.4tc posted in the Communal night time photography thread. I was pleased with what I got but it just...

Re: Anyone have a good way to remove filter spots

Dave, I just had a go at your processing routine as it was in Lightroom and the easiest to have a quick go at. To be honest with my poor processing skills it was the only one I thought I understood....

Re: Lancaster

Nicely done Paul. Shame about the modern Job Centre sign although with the lone figure it does add an additional storyline.

Had a go at the moon earlier. This is a grab from the jpg file using aviary on my tablet. Might just have to have a look at the raw file.

I've seen some lovely images of those hills but that must be one of the nicest. A worthy winner I'd say.

Re: E-M5 Mark 1 plus HLD6 grip etc

Sounds like a happy ending. Don't blame you for keeping a foot in the 4/3s camp too. I've still got my old E510 and my daughter has her old E520 although neither of us use them now.

Anyone have a good way to remove filter spots

I really struggled trying to remove the lens filter flare in this shot. Anyone have a good way to do it.

For me it's a nice shot with loads of fine detail that needs to be viewed large Alf. Not sure what your objection to the colour version is but the B&W does work pretty well. I know it's a nice moody...
