Re: Shortage of Prime Utlra Wides

The 9-18 mft lens is decent enough and very small and light.

Re: Shortage of Prime Utlra Wides

OK, so a serious question - I'm not looking to criticise your desires....

Why do you want a UWA prime? Unless you're doing wide-field astrophotography (where the widest aperture possible is...

Re: Climate Change - Latest

Dave - that's just conspiracy theory at its most blatant. Why would the entire political class want us to believe in man made global warming? 'There's no one "adjusting" the data to keep us fooled. ...

Re: Climate Change - Latest

The problem with the anthropogenic global warming hypothesis is that it's complex. Trying to prove AGW by a single event is impossible and there will always be specific examples which might...

I'll assume from your lack of response Dave they you're struggling to find any. I'll give you instead one of several published by NOAA:

Re: Climate Change - Latest

Do you also believe in a flat earth?, that the moon landings didn't happen?, that vaccines are a conspiracy by the pharma companies?, that 9/11 was a Mossad/CIA stitch up?, that the two Russians who...

It also doesn't fit 99% of the other evidence or informed opinion. I'll also add that the paper is not peer-reviewed either so we need to take anything it says with a pinch of salt until it's...

Re: E-M5 mk iii - same sensor as E-M1ii ?

A good street camera needs a tilt-only screen though. I doubt the E-M5iii will get anything other than a swivel screen.

BTW - I spotted a Panasonic GX800 in Dixons at the airport on Mon morning...

Re: E-M5 mk iii - same sensor as E-M1ii ?

All practical examples of camera evolution show that increased MP, better DR and improved ISO all come as a matched set!

Re: E-M5 mk iii - same sensor as E-M1ii ?

All the runes are pointing to a new sensor out there - whether that be the Sharp 8k video camera or the rumours from both Sony and TowerJazz of a 30Mp 4/3 sensor. If those runes are true and there...

Re: E-M5 mk iii - same sensor as E-M1ii ?

I'd be surprised if it's under 1299. Better off buying an E-M1ii used (or a grey import!).

Oh dear - I'm officially disappointed. Big lost opportunity. It'll not be on my shopping list.

I've heard that "show piece" view before Ross (show piece implying money-losing). But I can't understand why any company would willingly spend money and precious R&D resource on a product that they...

Re: LCE em1x

I'm sure an adapter could be made, but it would need to spread the image out over a larger area. It would be similar to a teleconverter, but it would preserve the entire image circle. To cover an FF...

I'd love to know the stats for people swapping into m43 because of the EM1x. My suspicion is very few, but i could be wrong.

Re: LCE em1x

I feel for Olympus in many ways. The sensor size puts a cap on what our expectations are of size and price. An FF sports camera (mirrorless or DSLR) can be the size of the Nikon D5 and cost 4k,...
