Re: Tamron 14-150 3.5-5.8 di 111

I've got one and fairly happy with it. There are several reviews on the web that a quick Google will throw up. It's not quite in the class of Olympus and Panasonic equivalents, but is a lot cheaper....

Prices of remaining lenses reduced, but now also on sale elsewhere.

Re: Are Olympus Accessories overpriced

That's exactly what I did. One really good thing about the MkII is that they've used standard connectors for most things.

Re: Are Olympus Accessories overpriced

The most outrageous example I've seen is the AC-5 PSU for the EM-1 MkII. Olympus charge 150 for an item that is essentially a 15-20 item. I ended up making my own.

Re: mft 75-300 II, mft 14-42 EZ, mft Samyang 7.5mm

True... cheapest I've seen is 165. I guess someone who's happy using grey importers (no criticism implied - some are, some aren't) would find that a better deal. As I said, I'm open to offers.

Lots of views but no interest... reasonable offers considered or I'll withdraw and sell elsewhere.

Re: Moved from General Photography - 3rd party battery for EM1mkii

I bit the bullet and bought three when I bought the camera... have to say I resented paying 75 a pop but there were no 3rd-party compatible available. As far as I know, there still aren't any fully...

mft 75-300 II, mft 14-42 EZ, mft Samyang 7.5mm

I need to rationalise my lens collection. These don't get used too often as I have alternative options for these focal lengths.

All in excellent condition:

My one beef with the em1mkii is that screen. Much prefer the tilt on the mki

Re: Password manager

But that's just one password (that is sent encrypted if the web site is configured correctly). Storing a password database in the cloud would potentially put every password I use open to attack.

Re: Password manager

I use KeePass on desktop and Android phone, too. I use an app (myphoneexplorer) to manually keep the desktop and phone in sync.

I don't use the cloud to store the database as, although very...

Re: Dew heater advice

I would hope so but not sure.... probably depends on the humidity level, though. They're quite low power - typically 4 or 5W for those suitable for camera lenses.

Re: Dew heater advice

The one I mentioned and quite a few on eBay seem to work off a 5V USB powerbank, which would be very convenient.

Thanks to all for the other comments

Oops! Good point - I shouldn't have assumed... it's a low-power heater to keep the lens clear of condensation on cold nights. Here's an example:

Re: Dew heater advice

Hmmm... quite a few views but no replies.

Does that suggest a dew heater is not really necessary? Has anyone here had problems with condensation that a dew heater is meant to resolve?

Dew heater advice

Has anyone used a dew heater with the 7-14mm Pro lens (and possibly others)? I'm thinking of doing more night-time photography and think I may need one.

Any recommendations, pit-falls?

TIA,...

Re: What sort of word is that?"

Amazed that no-one has mentioned "reach out".... as in

"We are reaching out to you to find out...." or "Can you reach out to your colleagues..." among others.

What on earth did that turn of...
