Re: DSLR & telephoto lens Imaging Planets how realistic?

Its dark so you don't expect to see anything. You haven't lined it up correctly so you don't expect to see anything. You havn't taken the lens cap off and its too dark to see that it is on... so you...

Re: Mars...

100-500mm at 500mm F/8, OM 1.4x, OM-M43 adapter, M43 1.4x TC, Digital X2 TC. The optics were not really up to it at an overall 1000mm F/16. The digital TC was just an add on to get a bigger picture...

Re: Hot shoe mount damaged

Providing its only the top of the runner that has been bent down (and this is the likely scenario) then I would have no hesitation in using a screwdriver to lift it up using a small block of wood as...

Re: Mars...

Re: The Windows10 Disaster

I quite like W8.1; W8 was a disaster. NT4 was nice as well. I could give W10 a miss. My 8.1 tried to update to 10 - emphasis on the tried - and it was a right royal pain to get it back to a useable...

Re: So what do you think it will be
