Re: Corbyn at the Cenotaph

Ivanhoe Beacon - on the path down from the car park, Barrie!

Re: Political: We're doomed, Captain Mannering...

Re: Chesham's Tribute

I always feel uncomfortable about having an anniversary.

Scarcely a week goes by when I don't dwell on the horrors and waste of both wars (or any war). With me it's not a case of buy a poppy,...

Re: Little tuna (FT 300 f/2.0) - £1150 o.n.o.

I got a reply from them, which repeated paying by Amazon. Their reply also stated that it was a three for the price of two offer!

I've replied to them repeating that I want to pick it up.

Re: How are we going to save the planet?

Re: Billingham Bag

I've got a Chinese copy of the Domke F2 bag that might suit. Although it's a copy, it's very well made (note the weight!). I think it's this one:

Re: Superb Blue Fairy Wren

Yes, very pretty bird with an apt name.

'Our' wren also has its charm and I think its German name is also more apt than ours - Zaunkönig, which translates as 'fence king', I guess from its habit...

Re: Bearded Tit

Great shots - makes me envious.

(The tit in the last one looks somehow malevolent!)

Re: An Archetypic Mushroom: Fly Agaric Amanita muscari

I find it a bit disturbing - especially the one called Whacky Baccy (or something like that)! It's a bit like David Lynch's 'Eraserhead', but for children!

Re: Hornets' Nest

We had one in the eaves of the porch of our house. I got to about a yard away to have a closer look at their entrance and one just gave me a quick warning 'dab' on the hand. It stung a bit, but...
