Re: New silver E-M1 Mark II camera

I too have a special edition beard these days.

It is complimented by a special, highly reflective surface on my top plate. That needs regular attention though to keep the shine at optimum levels....

Re: My latest foray into FF mirrorless - and why I'm sticking with m43

A well considered and reasoned post Paul as always.

It's a debate that crops up at my club on occasions where a number of the more experienced members have gone over to m43, mostly EM1.2, and are...

Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?

There are some very good points being made.

In common with Paul I do think the initial marketing has missed the mark by a wide margin. Couple that with the fact that Olympus is not fashionable in...

Question Photography Show 2019 - Can we manage to meet up this year

Last year we arranged a meet up at 12:00 on the Olympus stand on the Monday. For no apparent reason most of us managed to miss each other and only a few managed to meet and have a chat. Sad, as it...

Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?

Very true.

I have a pro friend who I was talking to yesterday about this camera. He shoots Fuiji for weddings and has had comments that his camera is clearly not big enough for a professional. He...

Re: Can anyone shed any light on this

Fine for me.

W10. Chrome.

Does seem to be very random looking at the list of successes and failures. This sort of thing is so annoying.

Sorry. Not much help.

Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?

Question is, what price do I put on them.

How much is a 20+ year old worth ??

As for my wife; probably wise I do not speculate *pnc

Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?

Now that I've watched a few reviews and got a better feel for what this camera is about I am not so against it as I was.

The big point made on several of the reviews is that it is aimed at pro...

Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?

I have to say that, notwithstanding the price, with the snippets we have seen so far it is bringing back fond memories of the E3 which always felt very good in my hand.

Still think Olympus should...

Re: Anyone print A3 ?

I would suggest that you do not need to develop such a phobia. I have, what is now becoming, a fairly elderly Epson R3000 which, according to urban legend, clogs up frequently.

Put simply it...

Thanks folks.

I have a good, fast, SD card and have clean contacts on them.

Only recently did a good body and lens cleaning session, not n response to the lockups though, so I doubt that is the...

Re: MORE Th>N ( you think ) Pet Insurance

This practice is not confined to pet insurance.

I had been with the same house and contents insurer for around 25 years without a single claim. Then we had some huge storms which blew a chimney...

Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?

I've been rather out of touch since early Nov, as some may have noticed when I suddenly disappeared, due to my wife's spinal surgery and recovery. Those nurses uniforms do look good on me however...

I am fully aware of the meaning of the word democracy.

It does not include a vote based on lies, deceit, misrepresentation of fact and illegal election practices. I qualify that this probably...

I am sorry you chose to go down the route of using the tired old rhetoric. As I have said the request was genuine.

I have asked this question of those who voted to leave before but never received a coherent and credible reply.

Please explain why it will be worth it in the end.

I ask this as a remainer...
