Barnacle Geese

I came across this huge flock of Barnacle geese, resting while on passage. Cannot remember seen as many at one place, less than a tenth of the whole gang fitted in the frame.

Caught twice (composite)

This is a composite created by stacking the contents of 5 frames from a sequence. Photos taken last summer with the EM-1 M2 and m.Zuiko 300/F4.

Yes, the effect was on several frames, on all it impacted the bottom of the frame.

What is going on here? Look at the bottom part of the trunk. Photo was taken back in April 2016 with the E-M1 Mark 1, IS.1, 1/500s. Lens is a Canon coupled...

Hi Ron

That's with the 300mm f/2.8. We have a few Chaffinch around this winter. Sweden"s second most numerous bird, averaged over 4 seasons. Most are migrants, will be back in May.

Male Chaffinch from a local wooden patch. I'm inclined to believe that my 4/3 lenses tend to backfocus and need 2 or 3 steps AF calibration.

After updating the FW to 2.1 I did a quick test in the field. I have a feeling it now backfocuses when used with 4/3 lenses. I need to have a deeper look at this to be conclusive and worst case...
