Re: Panasonic Leica 200mm

It was at the Photography Show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham in March this year Henry. I agree about the 100-400 it would be nice if it was a bit brighter at 400 but high iso is...

Re: Banjukes, Return to the group.

That's interesting John, my forum settings are a bit different. I've been using Lightroom recently and for the forum I use 960 pixels as the longest edge but 300 pixels per inch (as it was set that...

Re: Panasonic Leica 200mm

But it's very nice though Henry *devil I had a play with one at the recent Photo Show at the NEC. For me I preferred the reach and price tag of the 100-400 but it's a lot slower.

Impromptu Tour de Yorkshire

I got trapped in a lay-by on my way to Bempton recently and had to wait for the Tour to come through. Couldn't complain for the photo opportunity.

Just the start of it, the escort riders seem...

Re: Squabbling red kites

Impressive stuff Ian to get the face nice and sharp and very symetrical. Hope they were both OK after the little scrap.

Re: Decided to go long - but what to choose?

Can't testify to the 100-400 performance as i havent got one yet but the 14-140 has served me really well for several years now. Only just replaced it with the oly 12-100 but will probably go back to...

Me too John. I've resisted adding captions to the shots but several have come to mind in the Jonny Morris vein :) The birds certainly have a wide variety of characters in their midst when you watch...

Re: Enjoying the simplicity of the XZ-1

Lovely shots John. I'm sure that little XZ has a good home. It's a good point about putting a m4/3s sensor in a compact, wish they'd do it for an XZ-1 and a Stylus 1. Sort of like Panasonic have done...

Re: Pen-F owners, tell me the truth.

No Dave I don't own a Pen-F. It just seemed too expensive as a backup camera, plus I still have my EM1 mk1 which I think is better and worth a lot less now.
