Re: Olympus 150 - 400

It may be just due to me constantly using the lens to scan remote areas, magnifying for manual focus peaking, using burst mode, reviewing/enlarging images, etc., etc., but all of which I'd want to do...

Re: Olympus 150 - 400

Whenever I use my 300mm f4 + 1.4x TC, my OMD EM1 ii gets through batteries in no time, perhaps it's the lens, the type of usage it gets, or a bit of both.

So I'm wondering whether a much larger...

Re: Olympus 150 - 400

Speculation that the 150 - 400mm might be acheived by means of a 120 - 320mm zoom with an integral 1.25 teleconvertor interested me.

Could that produce the cheaper, lighter, more compact lens that...

Re: Olympus 1.4 converter

As my 300mm + 1.4 are almost permanently on my OM1ii, that prompts to ask is it just autofocus not working when using the TC, or manual focus or both. If one still works it might help avoid panicking...

Re: Olympus 150-400 Rumour

If it is a 2x teleconverter, 300 - 800mm F8 - 11 isn't something I'd be interested in , so I hope it would be an optional extra, rather than bundled with the zoom and jacking up the price.

Re: Olympus 150-400 Rumour

I'd get a 150 - 400 F4 - F5.6, but might have to wait for Black Friday 2019 reduction and maybe + a 15% off code & cashback promotion.

At 300mm would it be about F4.6, just over 1/3 stop slower...
