Re: Re: LCD frame crack on the OMD

What's not so clear to me is what one should do if your camera is in the range, but has no crack. I don't want to send it off for 'a check' for it to develop the fault later on, or will Olympus be...

Re: Re: Lens hoods

Thanks for this. Will now think about whether having it reversible will be useful, as opposed to just leaving it in my camera bag

Re: Re: Lens hoods

Have you got any more details (or maybe a pic) of what's required to make it work in reverse please? I've got that same hood and would like to understand how it could be made to reverse.

First thing to check is the 'last visited' time near the top right. You haven't installed the Tapatalk app on a phone / tablet have you?

Re: HLD-6 grip - your views on it?

Indeed, I do the same. It may have helped that I've been using a Canon grip for the 5 years before I moved to the E-M5.

Re: Micro SD cards on Prestigio tablet

Have you tried copying them to the internal memory, then disconnecting the USB & then trying to move them from the internal memory to the SD card?

Re: olympus user magazine

Ah; spoke too soon; my Digital SLR mag arrived through the door this morning.

Re: olympus user magazine

Anyone received their Digital SLR Magazine yet (I think it's Digital SLR, and not Digital SLR Photography, which is a different magazine); ironically, if it's Digital SLR, it came out Wednesday this...

Despite the letter & assuming (as a new subscriber) that I'd only ever get to see the online edition, the paper based magazine turned up today. I still prefer paper magazines, but will be interested...

Re: olympus user magazine

I first subscribed to the magazine in May this year, as part of purchasing my E-M5. The website did say to allow 28 days for delivery, so earlier this month I emailed them to chase it up, and got no...

Re: Don't update to E-M5 1.2 firmware for now.

I have to say there was one point in the process that confused me; when the display on the camera (finally!) puts up the "don't unplug / turn off" screen, the words on the computer screen say...

Re: PenPal for E-PL3?

The PenPal-1 needs the camera to have the Accessory Port 2, not the original Accessory Port 1. This rules out the E-P2, XZ-1 and E-PL1, but the E-PL2 has the AP2, so I would expect it to work fine...

Re: Recommended cases when grip used

Ah, I think I tried this case Friday morning (the closest to what I wanted, but as the camera didn't fit with the grip, I walked away from buying it).
This then does sound like the case for me;...

Recommended cases when grip used

There's lots of nice small camera cases out there designed for cameras like the E-M5 but not suitable for it once the two part grip is on.

Any recommendations as to a nice small compact case that...

Re: OM-D E-M5 Delivery Date - Oh Dear!

Me! Well, technically I have access to a fax to email service which means I get a JPG / TIFF of the scan from the fax machine. I'm happy to offer this service to anyone who needs it for their receipt...

Re: OM-D E-M5 Delivery Date - Oh Dear!

I think the key thing is that the Promotion website asks you to upload a VAT invoice, so it's not about whether a shipping note or email is generically acceptable, it's about providing the VAT...

Re: Interesting chat at SRS today

Me too, also coming from Canon. Although my latest lens for my Canon kit was quite new, it was time to refresh the camera, and the lightness of the m4/3 solution appealed. Also, I've always had a...

Re: OM-D E-M5 Delivery Date - Oh Dear!

Yeah, that's the one. Photograph it or scan it. Apparently it is acceptable as mine got approved this morning. Failing that, just post that bit of paper to Olympus...

Re: OM-D E-M5 Delivery Date - Oh Dear!

The delivery paperwork that came inside the Amazon packing box states it's a VAT invoice. Scanning that should be acceptable (though not sure mine has actually been accepted as valid yet).

Re: E-M5 now recognised at Flickr

Interesting to see yesterday's stats:

E-P3 1961 uploads from 109 users
E-M5 1276 uploads from 129 users

so more users but slightly less pictures per user on average. Not bad for a brand new...

E-M5 now recognised at Flickr

I had a chat with a guy at Flickr yesterday and the E-M5 is now recognised properly at Flickr instead of the name within the EXIF pointing to the main Olympus stats page. I'm hoping both it & the...
