Re: Panasonic 100-400
I have just had a look outside. Some high-flying clouds have come over and they are obscuring the moon somewhat. I took some photos, but they don't appear to be all that good. Anyway, it is now...

Re: Panasonic 100-400
Here's another one from the southern hemisphere. But the sky is not as clear as it was last night.

Re: Panasonic 100-400
It is a one off, although I took it in raw and used Capture One Pro to add a bit of contrast and to adjust the exposure a bit. The exposure didn't require much adjustment. - One of the great things...

Re: Panasonic 100-400
Last night I popped outside to see if the moon was worth photographing. I thought that it was and so I put the P/L 100-400mm onto the E-M1 Mk II and went outside to try my luck:

Re: Long Tailed Tit
As are mine. - But we had a bit of difficulty mounting my PL 100-400mm on a friend's E-M10 Mk II, even though it mounts easily, but snugly, on my E-M1 and E-M1 Mk II.
I'll pass this info on to...

Re: Wangaratta Camera Club Photo Shoot #01/2019
You could be right. - I have an earlier version of that lens too. The 24-70 has only one switch on the left of the barrel, while the 24-105 has two. Initially I thought that it was a 24-105, but...

Re: Wangaratta Camera Club Photo Shoot #01/2019
Well your photos came out quite well Mark, although the church is sloping just a bit too much towards the left for my taste.
I chuckled when I saw the photo of the two ladies comparing the Nikon...

Re: My New toy, MMF-3
As I have posted elsewhere, the Australian prices on both the 12-40 f/2.8 PRO and the 12-100 f/4 IS PRO are still quite keen. - DigiDirect has the 12-40 f/2.8 PRO at $748.00 in Brisbane at present:...

Re: My New toy, MMF-3
I must say that the 12-60 SWD works beautifully on the E-M1 Mk II. That is why I had no hesitation in lending my old E-M1 with 12-40mm F/2.8 PRO to a friend, who has an E-M10 Mk II to take down to...

Re: Losing it!
I am pleased that the 12-60 SWD has a new lease of life. It is a great lens although, as Ross pointed out, the auto-focus works better on a camera with PDAF, such as the E-M1 or E-M1 Mk II.

Re: Losing it!
Lovely pic Mark. That is a wonderful lens and is one of the reasons I stuck with my E-3 for so long. Mine hasn’t been getting much use lately. The 12-100 is just too versatile and of comparable bulk....

Re: Show us your first cameras
The first camera that I ever owned was a Kodak 127 "Brownie" (Second model) which was given to me by my grandmother on my 6th birthday. The first photo that I took was of my little sister riding her...

Re: Mount on E-M10
Yes. Great suggestion. I'll take my PL 100-400 in to work tomorrow and ask my favourite camera store in downtown Brisbane if I can try it out.

Mount on E-M10
When my 50-500mm BIGMA "died" late last year, I needed a comparable replacement and so I went out and bought a Panasonic LUMIX G Leica DG Vario-Elmar 100-400mm F4.0-6.3 ASPH (aka PL 100-400).
This...

Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?
Agreed! My bank account is going to love me. - No need for me to even consider the E-M1X. My E-M1 Mk II is perfectly good enough....... For now! ;)
