Re: Any one do birds in flight with the EM1MK1

This is great for birds in flight. No need to zoom out to find the bird and then zoom in!

Olympus Dot Sight EE-1

Having spent many frustrating hours trying with my 40-150mm to capture gannets fishing, I heard about the Olympus Dot Sight EE-1. It arrived yesterday and is brilliant. Not many gannets in Milton...

Focus assist peaking with 17mm f1.8

MF assist peaking works with my two pro lenses when the lenses' MF clutch is engaged (i.e. using the lens' direct drive MF). But the peaking does not work on my 17mm f1.8 lens (bought on Saturday)...

Re: Firmware updates - 2AM on Thursday 26th

Yes it is curious. I don't know anyone, and I followed the perfectly normal update path when invited to by Olympus. There was no suggestion that it was a BETA or test copy or anything like that....

Re: Firmware updates - 2AM on Thursday 26th

I updated to 4.0 weeks (months?) ago! Checking today shows that my firmware is up to date. Also for both my Pro lenses. Where do I find the focus stacking? It's nowhere I can see, and it's not in the...

Re: The Shocking Events in Paris

Agreed with all your points except the last one (although of course I feel sympathy with the Paris victims). We should show that we stand resolute with all victims of IS and other terrorists,...

[QUOTE=Ricoh;366244]If not religion it would be something else./QUOTE]
Absolutely. Indeed, much of what's going on now isn't really about religion. Religion is a potent way of mobilising all sorts...

Re: A Wheel Problem.

My EM1 had the rear wheel problem and Oly fixed it very efficiently.

I reckon the rear wheel gets a real battering because we use it more than the front wheel, and our thumbs probably exert more...

I had this problem with the rear dial. I sent my camera for repair under warranty: they collected it from my home and returned it here today, fully repaired and serviced exactly one week and one hour...

Re: Always use a tripod .....

It's so easy to smirk, especially for white males when the subject is an asian female. What she is doing is perfectly rational and probably very effective. She is using the tripod as a counterweight...

Re: E10/20 battery grip, charger and two batteries

The postage for the four battery items comes to 7.40 if you want it before Christmas. Is that OK? If so I can get it in the post tonight.

The total bill will be 37.40.

Re: E10/20 battery grip, charger and two batteries
