Re: No local olympus camera shops :-(

Try round the South and North Humber area - Oly listed stockists yes but never more than a couple of m4/3 in stock but 4/3 and accessories NEVER. Internet seems the only way now. Was this a cunning...

Re: E3 Price

I am always wary unless the full original box kit is offered, be it in the pub or on ebay. Sorry to those here who do sell on ebay. Without some real background knowledge I tend to ask whether a...

Definitely one of the large ones.

You are as bad as me - I reached 200 but have reduced drastically since moving. I believe in the nuclear option for all pests and diseases - They...

Re: Olympus confirms new camera body for Four Thirds lenses

With the court cases against 4 directors now at an end it is perhaps the best time for Oly to honour its promises to the 4/3 community, and change to MFT is not the answer.

Re: What is this Orchid called?

Dare I ask you to measure the length of a mature leaf:). It certainly within the large/medium area. The dwarf varieties are only 2-3cm across the widest point of the flower.

Re: What is this Orchid called?

Some sort of size indication would narrow the search as there are 3 subtypes ie large, medium and dwarf but I think you have got the best caption. Look out for a local orchid show and one of the...

Re: What is this Orchid called?

There is a full list of the named hybrids, with description, published each year but chances of naming it now are close to impossible. Only orchid nurseries bother with naming plants for sale.

Re: Apple vs. Samsung

I think it was the fibreglass that killed Vincent off. Just think of the glass we could have bought if we had kept them until today.

Re: Apple vs. Samsung

Its frightening when you think I was learning Fortran in 1967 and it continued in use for over a decade. Send the lines of code in and receive the cards back a week later and then trouble shoot the...

Re: Olympus confirms new camera body for Four Thirds lenses

It still would need a direct 4/3 mount to be a solution any mention of M4/3 means an adapter and that is NOT wanted in the least. Useful as they are the promise was to support 4/3 system.

Re: Olympus confirms new camera body for Four Thirds lenses

An E5 mirrorless it is then*chr with much as the EM5 has on board already. Maybe this is the solution they are looking at to support legacy 4/3 glass. Maybe they have decided the future is...

Re: Apple vs. Samsung

Yes in the good old days Olympus spoke clearly but now they do not if the recent announcement about the new 4/3 lgacy lens and camera is anything to go by. Perhaps they can find a cannikon breach to...

Re: Olympus confirms new camera body for Four Thirds lenses

Yep change mount and you change the whole system which includes the relevant lenses. Now if we maintain the 4/3 mount and produce a mirrorless camera that works then that supports the system but an...

Re: Olympus confirms new camera body for Four Thirds lenses

In other words they are actually abandoning 4/3 for M4/3. It strikes me the Oly board did need a complete change after all. They simply want the 4/3 glass to be more usable on M4/3. What a shower...

Re: Canon AE-D

At full frame could this really fly and at what price. I really think Oly may have shaken the market with the OM- D. There is a fluttering perhaps in the Cannikon monolith and a realisation that...
