Re: Olympus 150 - 400

The 150-400 is probably less than 1 foot long and the 100-400 is tiny for what it is.

Russell Savory is very good and local too. You'll have seen some of his films on the BBC.

Re: M1X..Harsh review, realistic perhaps?

It's a pity that they didn't have time to add birds and other animals (including humans) at launch. That would have made a much bigger splash! One thing I have learned about Olympus is that you have...

Re: M1X..Harsh review, realistic perhaps?

To repeat what I said on another forum:

He says "In continuous AF, my only issue is that itís sometimes difficult to see the autofocus point as you pan with a subject. But with a PRO grade lens,...

Re: Built in X2 TC

It just crops the centre part of the image and then upsizes it to 20mp. Can work OK for images for the web etc. but I wouldn't rely on it if you need more resolution. You can do the same thing in...

Re: Olympus 1.4 mc 14

You should be able to find a few more links as I've seen this fault reported a few times before. I would send them the links and point out that as you are paying for Pro cover they should deal with...

Re: Updated Olympus lens "roadmap"

In the Pro section it shows 'Bright Prime Lenses' with a band that seems to go from about 12mm to 60mm. That could be 2 lenses, one at each end.

Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?

I guess the production firmware hasn't been out for long and people are busy testing in the background. It should be available to end users in the next two weeks so we should see reports soon.

Re: New Olympus OMD - EM1X ?

In the USA it’s quoted as Feb 25th. Here they just say ‘late’ Feb. I did hear somewhere that it would be around the 22nd here. It’s a short month, so it won’t be long!

Re: Loose the 'sticky-out-strap-ends'

OK, OK !!! :o But that is a much enlarged view, it's not double sided tape and it looks OK in reality, and it works!

Re: Loose the 'sticky-out-strap-ends'

I use small pieces of gaffer tape to keep the ends in place. Not as neat, but it means they can't come undone.

Re: Quick review of Sony Tough SD cards

Thanks for that Paul. I do like the way they have got rid of the write protect tab, it's the worse thing about SD cards. I've had one fail on a Sandisk card, but they did replace it. Hopefully their...

Re: E-M1X..not viable without portrait grip ?

They might have to make it a fraction deeper? I'm always amazed at how much they pack in there.
