Re: Panasonic 100-400 vs 300 f4 information

Fantastic, many thanks. (I don't use a tripod mount on the 300! I prefer to wave it about aimlessly in the hope of getting something ;) )

Re: Is there an up to date list?

I feel for Ian on this, as the Olympus Test and WOW has really been spread to new dealers and this makes it difficult to justify an alternate service.

I rented the Mahoosive 300 f2.8 and TC 14 off...

Re: Panasonic 100-400 vs 300 f4 information

Re: Panasonic 100-400 vs 300 f4 information

Indeed, but again the only size comparison I've found is for the 100-400 Panasonic on the outside of a display case, so I was trying to get an impression... I didn't think to take a photo of the...

Re: Panasonic 100-400 vs 300 f4 information

Many thanks to you both...

The length of the two are: 280mm and 300mm so bugger all difference in reality!

I think I'm going to await the Oly 150-400 + 1.25TC to see how much that is before...

Re: Panasonic 100-400 vs 300 f4 information

Many thanks for that!

That's the best I'd managed, the Panasonic is at 100mm and the hood on the 300 is retracted. suggesting the Panasonic is considerably smaller than the 300, which I know not...

Panasonic 100-400 vs 300 f4 information

I can't find some information I'd like....

All the comparisons for the size of the Panasonic 100-400mm vs the 300 f4 show the Panasonic closed, not fully extended. Dimensions I've found are all...

Extended Warranties

My body (sorry, camera body) has just got to the point that Olympus have kindly written to me with the opportunity to spend £100 on a 3 year extended warranty.

I am trying to decide whether to...

Re: Communal flowers, trees, plants and fungi thread

Looks like you're getting to grips with it... you could always cover your bases and put the image in both threads! ;)

Re: Communal Dragonfly, Butterfly and Insect photo thread

Did you wait and see the whole transformation? What is the white stringy stuff coming out of the back of it? (or am I better off no knowing? ;) )

Re: “I‘m a lucky Barsteward”

If I have understood it correctly the higher altitude and possibly higher speed created greater pressure and temperature differentials between in flight and on ground than previously experience with...

Daft question

I’ve been going through some older photos and have found that the V2 firmware photos are not as sharp as many others were getting on here, so the move to V3 firmware has made a massive step for me.

There is an add-in for Lightroom! Though it shows the standard size box for the small focus point.

Re: Another MC20 question...

I wouldn’t rush into selling the MC14s yet as we’re currently seeing reasonable light, the MC20 is going to be a very different animal once the daylight has dropped to autumn and winter levels!

Re: Another MC20 question...

The MC 20 and 40-150 pairing seems to be what it’s designed for! It’s a very good pairing.

Keep saving and go for the 150-400 later!

Re: Shortage of Prime Utlra Wides
