Re: Totally mint/as new ZD 12-60mm SWD 2.8-4 Olympus 4/3 lens boxed.

I'm sure it's a great lens, but trying to say there's a meaningful difference in IQ between the 12-35 and 12-40 is nonsense. So, the 12-60 can't be "a lot better" than the 12-35 and yet "as good as"...

Re: Olympus EP5 + Panasonic 20mm

A sensible decision I must say. I would be very 'miffed' it it were mine and I had to basically 'give it away' ( sub 250 ) to get any interest.

Digital cameras are in many ways wonderful tools...

Re: Olympus EP5 + Panasonic 20mm

Rather depressing to witness the depreciation of camera bodies, makes the second hand value of cars look rather healthy.
I have too many cameras myself, but given what I see going on its rather...

Re: EM5 Cracks below the screen

The original Olympus service note covered the affected range of serial numbers: BEK501001 BEK508887 (black) BF4501001 BF4503865 (silver)

If your camera be listed in one of the above serial...

Re: EM5 Cracks below the screen

It is mostly cosmetic & generally caused by over tightening of the screws. They should still honour a free repair (replacement of the bezel), but I would check first. Also, I don't think they'd want...

Re: EM5 Cracks below the screen

Not sure how Olympus capped the range of serial numbers, mine was nowhere near, but they still fixed it. Didn't cost me a penny, WEX arranged for the camera to be picked up by DHL, and returned just...

Re: EM5 Cracks below the screen

I think I may have read on mu43 of individuals who have had their EM5's fixed out of warranty. In your position I'd complain if Olympus refuse to fix it free of charge, it is after all a systematic...

Re: EM5 Cracks below the screen

Quite a few EM5's suffered from this problem early on and I know that Olympus was repairing under guarantee, but I've not heard of any cases where the repair has been done outside the warranty...

Re: TTL Lock???

The long delay might well be just the recharging or cycle time (of the capacitor) between shots, especially if maximum power level was used for that TTL shot & it might depend on the batteries you...

Re: TTL Lock???

The way to do this is by using the gun fully manual, or in slave mode using the small flash on the camera set at its lowest power to trigger the FL-36R or in RC mode, but again in manual mode,...

Re: 9-18 or 7-14 m4/3?

I guess it depends on what you want to take pictures of inside and how big the room - a flash will only cover a certain area unless you bounce it off a ceiling or wall to spread the light out, which...

Re: Button press and shutter

Hi there Niranhopper!

One thing that a DSLR would have to do that your E-M5 doesn't is raise it's mirror - and that will always take a few milliseconds due to the size and weight. Although the...
