Yes they look like Curlews, and you are right about the Little Egret. Last photo is a Black Headed Gull. They loose the black head feathers after summer, but still have a blotch around their ears...

Hi Phill. The first two egrets are indeed Little Egrets but the third one looks like a Cattle Egret to me (a nice find.) The 'tern' is a Black-headed Gull.

If you find a setting that helps a lot please let me know, I usually use multi shot low silent on MF with focus assist red, as fast a shutter speed practible and about 250mm lens, basically...

That's a good one Phill. I have a copy of that lens somewhere but I haven't used it for years. My main complaint with it is the horrible whining noise it makes as it focuses. It is a bit embarrassing...
