Your original is very close to being a "Golden Rectangle" and with a very small crop, could put the tree spot on the origin of the spiral.

I don’t have one, but I have used them several times and it works very well.

However the Samyang has a focus scale on it and with such a huge DoF you can almost set it to the hyper focal distance...

I have "Dual IS" switched on all the time with the camera in iAuto mode.

As soon as I go in the studio, it all gets switched off as 95% is shot with flash.

I tend to think of lens IS working...
