Re: The Photography Show: other new gear

I'm informed that Analogue Wonderland are doing 'show deals' on film, also on the lovely Lomography 400CN which is back in stock. (Apparently, Lomo 400CN is the discontinued Kodak Gold 400). :)

I believe so, I haven't been to the photo show but saw it promoted on Twitter.

Re: BNIB, Panasonic G VARIO 12-32mm f3.5-5.6 ASPH Mega O.I.S Lens, Black.

When I purchased my Leica M240 the box was definitely sealed. In fact when I picked it up from the shop it was suggested I take it home and open it myself instead of letting one of the sales...

Re: Landscape-esque

Thanks for posing, John.
B&W help removes the extraneous allowing the photographer and viewer to see the form more easily. Colour is generally more difficult to get right and comes bound with...

Re: Bit Rot

But would you want to look at them, or subject others to the ordeal, if the prints are of some crazy HDR process during capture?! The results look so unnatural but it's the craze right now.

Re: Bit Rot

I've just been talking with Geoffrey Cox and he assures me the negs will endure if stored in acid-free sleeves, away from light. As for the prints, Geoff recommends the use of archival paper. I trust...

Re: Bit Rot

I tend to download the contents of the SD card within a week or so of shooting and then format the card once backed up successfully. Deleting files from the card is another option, but this leads to...

Bit Rot

Friend of mine found in his desk drawer two rolls of undeveloped film exposed over 25 years ago. He was pleasantly surprised to see that the latent images had survived and came out quite usable for...

Re: Out of Focus..

I'd have this in preference to something that's been image stacked to death. It's a really nice shot, improved by the lack of focus or possibly the result of low shutter speed in relation to the...

Re: Change

Thanks Mark - that's how the sensor captures it, no messing in PP. (18MB Jpeg)

It's the Russian lens, a delight it is with the imperfections abound - the number of imperfections being proportional...

Thank you Mdb2.

Re: Landscape-esque

It does worry me if we leave on WTO rules, overall, but it could make repairs more expensive. As far as I'm aware no one in the UK will touch a digital M, it has to be returned to Solms.
