BLH-1 Clone Tests

Having just become the happy owner of an E-M1 MkII I thought it was about time to update the data-logging equipment and repeat the tests I have done in the past on BLM-1, BLL-1 and BLN-1 clones. Just...

Re: Food Photography - Renaissance Style

All my food photography is client driven. Whether that’s restaurants, hotels, recipe books or Getty Images, the brief and styling is usually someone else’s decision.

Re: C-AF disappointing

Tordan,

I found that my "out of the box" first use was a similar experience to yours, and ended up re-setting the camera (full reset) twice, then it jumped into working properly, I put the down to...

Re: Communal Bird Photography Thread

My version of Photoshop (CS4) is getting rather elderly and sluggish, so I have downloaded a trial copy of Affinity Photo. I am struggling with it at the moment but this Robin is one of the first raw...

Re: So are Olympus cameras too complicated?

Agree with that. I like the complexity of the cameras and I'd like even more options but you do need more information to get the most out of them. For instance the new manual just says:

C-AF Lock...

Re: MySet button / sleep question

My workaround is to assign the Myset to a 'under-used' position on the mode dial (as well as the button of your choice).

Then if you expect that the camera might sleep before you next take a...

Re: Is C-AF actually improved with v3.0?

Back button focus is where the camera is set up so that focus is controlled by a button other than the shutter button - usually the AEL/AFL button. The advantage is that you track your subject with...

Re: Clicking sound from lens iris?

Go to Menu *D & set Flicker Reduction to off. It defaults to Auto which is what it would have done after the 3.1 update. It definitely gives that behaviour with iris control.

Re: EVF lag

Don't forget you can use the Short Release Lag-time in Menu *C as well as the High Frame Rate Menu *D which should make a difference for when you need it.

Re: 15 frame sequence E-M1 BIF after firmware update

Cliff - the benefits should be apparent whatever rate for 'H' you select. The maximum actual rate will be dictated by the lens - i.e. How fast the lens aperture can close down and open for each shot....

Re: 15 frame sequence E-M1 BIF after firmware update
