Good to see you have a "youngster" in the group. Clubs in the UK are dwindling in numbers and attract very few new members and young people are a real rarity.

I don’t have one, but I have used them several times and it works very well.
However the Samyang has a focus scale on it and with such a huge DoF you can almost set it to the hyper focal distance...

I have "Dual IS" switched on all the time with the camera in iAuto mode.
As soon as I go in the studio, it all gets switched off as 95% is shot with flash.
I tend to think of lens IS working...

I have a recollection of that happening when I used “Studio” to control the E3.
It would start up with whatever I had set it to via tethering rather than what the mode dial was set at.
