Re: E-M1 II Firmware Upgrade 2.3

I had this exact issue trying to update my E-M1.

Eventually I gave up on the Updater and tried Viewer 3 instead, which declared that there were updates for Viewer, Studio and the Updater. After...

Re: WiFi File transfer

Panasonic cameras can do this without any issue... I started a thread in this very forum wondering why Olympus has been less forthcoming with feature upgrades (than they were for the MkI) and...

Re: In-camera multiple 'additive' exposures

Note that this isn't the same as multi-exposure. The first two images that are combined only contribute 50% to the image in total. This means images 1 and 2 provide 25% each, while image 3 provides...

Re: Firmware version 2.2 released for the EM1 MK2

Upgraded two bodies today. Irritatingly, although the updater did save/restore my settings, the touch screen was re-enabled (first thing I do is switch it off) when the process was complete.

Re: IR screw-in filter supplier recommendations?

I've found this one

https://amzn.to/2N3iaP9

OK on my converted E-M5 (665nm). It's a 720nm, though. I've also tried a Neewer 760nm and that produced expected results, too.

Re: The Red Arrows in my Back Garden

They look pretty good to me... not an area I've put much effort into but I'd be happy with them. A better sky would be nice, of course, but you can't control that.

Re: The Wheatears are back

I don't have the 300mm, but I do have the Panasonic 100-400mm. I find a monopod is invaluable to help take the load.

Re: Tamron 14-150 3.5-5.8 di 111

I've got one and fairly happy with it. There are several reviews on the web that a quick Google will throw up. It's not quite in the class of Olympus and Panasonic equivalents, but is a lot cheaper....

Re: Luminar 2018 Anyone?

Any app that implements layers is likely to be a memory hog but it shouldn't be necessary to run a clean up after using it... the application should clean up after itself. If it doesn't, that 's a...

Re: Thank you for having me

I, presumably like many others here, have made the transition from 4/3 to micro 4/3. Passing through a phase of owning both types of lens, I've now fully converted to micro 4/3.

To be honest, if...

Re: Thank you for having me

The artefacts look like over-aggresive JPG compression to me.... with perhaps some noise, although the ISO isn't that high according to the EXIF for images that have the data.

Re: Telephoto lens for E410....help.....

I'm not familiar with this lens, but I had the Sigma 70-200mm which I used on my E-600... it was excellent, albeit a little heavy.

Just noticed that if I use the front/rear dials to modify ISO and WB, the way this is displayed is different in PASM and Cx modes. In PASM modes, the individual, larger dialogue pops up as you spin...

Re: External power for HLD-9

Further info at my website...

Re: 75-300 M.Zuiko ll Firmware

I think John is correct - no update means it's not on the list. My 75-300 II is still on firmware 1.0. The Camera updater says it's at the latest level.
