Chalk me up for a silver one as well, please Ian. Oh and an E-M1 as well if there are any available. Thanks, Ian.

Re: OM-1 miniatures!

Mine arrived first post. It’s now sitting between my OM4ti and my E-M1. Happy bunny.

It looks like part of that robot from the TV series Lost in Space (those of us old enough to remember it!!)

Re: Pushing Tri-X

Oh, yes, the great smell of eye watering stop bath and fixer. Getting all hot and sweaty trying to put a film onto a damp reel. Forgetting to start the timer when you pour the developer in or check...

Re: Thom Hogan slams Olympus M 4/3

Here we go - 'My camera has more pixels than yours'. Didn't we have this years ago when we used film? 'My Canon is better than your Nikon', '35mm!!, medium format is far superior', etc..... I've used...

Re: m4/3 lenses for IR

I weighed up the pros and cons of a full sprctrum but for what I wanted it was too much of a compromise. If I do convert a spare camera, I'll get a 720nm filter for the false colour. The above where...

Re: m4/3 lenses for IR

Here's a few of mine. As for "a good camera ruined", not in my case, this particular camera was headed for the scapheap. The conversion gave it a new lease of life. I've been taking IR images for...

Re: Pen film FTAGH

Camera arrived this morning. Absolutely gobsmacked at the condition of it, like it's never been used. The only 'fault' is the light seals, I've got set so not a problem. I'll wait for a sunny day...

Re: Pen film FTAGH

Well, you can leave the camera to figure out the exposure and make a mess of it, or you can do it yourself and make a mess of it

Re: Pen film FTAGH

And then you'd buy another camera, run a film through that, then buy another camera, run a film through that........

You get the picture (pun intended)

It's an addictive hobby (pastime?)

Re: Pen film FTAGH

A good choice but personally I prefer the OM2n. You've a choice of manual or automatic exposure.

Re: Pen film FTAGH

You’ll have to find out what they are. Kodak made a lot of box cameras so what you think is rare actually isn’t. Are they all box or are there some ‘folders’?

Re: m4/3 lenses for IR

I’ve used both the 14-42 and the 12-50 with no problems. Currently using a Panny 12-32. It suits my needs, small, light, right focal length and give acceptable results. Only other I’ve tried is the...

Re: "The size of your thing!"

I quite agree, a good photo is just that, a good photo. There will always be 'pixel snobs'. How many of us have had people say 'You must have a good camera' without knowing what it was taken on? As...
