Re: Olympus 1.4x Tele Converter EC-14

Don't blame you George, I kept mine to use on my 50mm f2.0. I've often wished I'd kept the 50-200 too.

Re: Fen Raft Spiders 2019

They are beauties. I'll have a look round for some on our travels as I search for swallowtails.

Re: Buttons..What do you do with them?

I've reset a few of the buttons as I've read recommendations in posts in the past but rarely use them to be honest as I can never remember what I've set them too :o. I'd be lost without the SCP...

Re: Transport

It's a great construction, fascinating to watch in operation. I went a few times when my son was at University there. Love that last shot with the reflection.

Re: Another photography workshop!

Lovely set Paul, compositions worked nicely, #4, #1, and #7 are my favourites. Great we are all different in our views. I'd be interested to see what you did in the Monsal tunnel, that's where we...

Re: Flight of the Sacred Ibis

Smart shots Mark and super bokeh too. I suspect you'll be keeping that lens.

Re: 40-150 Pro vs. 50-200 SWD

I'm sure you are right about the resolution Mark but like Tord I was struggling to see any real differences in the posted images. The new lens did seem to be more contrasty but i did prefer the image...

Re: Zuiko 50mm Macro 4/3rds

I have an MMF-3 4/3 to m4/3 adaptor Steve but I think any of the adaptors should work.

Re: 40-150 Pro vs. 50-200 SWD

OK got to ask what did that tell you Mark? I know what I think but it's your comparison so you first.

Re: How best to expose a sunset without a graduated filter?

I've got a set of the 85mm resin ND grads too Iain. Don't use them very often but they do seem to work OK. Just looked up the reverse grad versions and they are about 60 each. If you want the...

Re: 40-150 Pro vs. 50-200 SWD

What Paul is talking about are the occasions when the 40-150 delivers really harsh or what I call nervous bokeh. If you remember I warned you about it before you got the lens. It's the only thing I...

Re: 40-150 Pro vs. 50-200 SWD

It would be interesting to see the differences if you do a portrait back to back comparison.

Re: How best to expose a sunset without a graduated filter?

I've wondered about a reverse grad too. Stephen Elliott uses one a lot in Derbyshire, seems to work well for him.

Re: 40-150 Pro vs. 50-200 SWD

For me the IQ differences are pretty insignificant, they are both very good. Just wondered why you were so concerned about it Mark?

Re: Some trees from February

These are both superb shots Alf. I think I'd have preferred a none square crop myself though.

Re: Olympus 1.4X MC-14

Best to ask an admin to edit the typo in the title gingram to remove the confusion.
This will certainly work very well with the 50mm you are selling.

Re: Zuiko 50mm Macro 4/3rds

I agree with Jim this is a great price for a lovely lens. If I didn't already have one I'd have snapped it up. Good luck with the sale. Have a bump on me.

Re: New MC 20 announced.

Like you Ross I always leave my 1.4x tc on the 40-150. I didn't think it was much worse in IQ either although I don't think I've ever done a back to back direct comparison. Has anyone else done one?...

Re: Well Dressing at Tissington in Derbyshire

Yes its a superb event Rob. Is the Wakes event a separate event? hadn't heard of that?

Mark this is a pretty local custom around Derbyshire villages. I don't think anywhere else in the country do...
