Just holding it still is the biggest challenge.
The front on shot in the shade was handheld (as were all of them) and 1/40 th second, so the stabilization is working well.

Apparently it can only reach supersonic speeds in a dive. Stall speed is 122 mph so I know it was going faster than that. No bang....:D

In theory the arrows should have been easier to shoot as, although they are faster, they move in a steady and predictable way. The swifts were incredible flyers and could turn on a sixpence.

I think they are very shabby, but it is interesting to note what an effect the atmosphere makes on a long range shot, part of the reason for posting.
I don't have the same issues with macro.:D
