Re: Another MC20 question...

Peter I've still got my MC-14 and currently plan to keep it as it's served me well so far. Jury's still out for me at the moment as I've yet to do any back to back 1.4x vs 2x close up resolution and...

Re: July 2019 Photo Challenge: Frozen (As in Action)

This is going to be a great challenge there are some superb shots already. I'd have trouble just picking 3 if I had to do it now and we are only half way through

Re: Another MC20 question...

To be honest although I'd like a 300mm lens I don't really think I actually need one...? mind you never say never ;)
As for the 150-400 well having looked at it at the NEC Photo Show I'm pretty sure...

Re: Another MC20 question...

That's exactly what I've done. I'm very pleased with it although I've yet to really test it out at long distance shooting. Close -ups have come out great so far.

Re: Pop Up Scam?

Well caught John you did a lot better than I did a few months ago. It was a similar scam but for the TV license renewal in an email. It looked really genuine and the email sender looked fine so I...

Re: 11-22 v 9-18 ( 4 thirds, not micro)

I tend to use the 12-100 pretty much all the time now. I find 12mm is generally wide enough for most things. I do still have the 9-18mm but haven't used that for ages either. I also have a little...

Re: 11-22 v 9-18 ( 4 thirds, not micro)

I recently sold my 11-22 as I never used it much and had not used it for ages. It was a lovely lens though as far as I can remember. It always surprised me how nicely it did close ups of flowers. Not...

Re: Communal Dragonfly, Butterfly and Insect photo thread

You did very well Harold. I'm afraid in the branch of industry i was in it was pretty much essential as there were always too many people who thought they needed to know what was going on!

Re: Communal Dragonfly, Butterfly and Insect photo thread

Re: Communal Dragonfly, Butterfly and Insect photo thread

Just downloaded one of your damselfly stereo shots Harold and as I don't have any decent ink I resorted to putting it into powerpoint so I could move the images about. Have to say it worked a treat,...

Re: Communal Dragonfly, Butterfly and Insect photo thread

I've been trying my little Owl viewer on your stereos Harold but it seems that the images are just too far apart for it to work. I found from a bit of Googling that the centre separation between both...

Re: Olympus M.Zuiko 14-150mm f4-f5.6

Sorry Chris I'd have had it for my Son's partner, unfortunately I went for a Tamron one a couple of weeks ago as they were going on holiday. I'm suprised no one went for it as its a great travel...

Re: New MC 20 announced.

I've not seen any fringes like that yet Andrew. It will be interesting to see what Oly say about it. Anyway here's a butterfly shot I got using my 40-150 with the MC20. Not quite the resolution you...

Re: Ruddy Darter Male

Harold the Owl is pretty much a modern Victorian stereo viewer as far as I know so might just give them a try. I've also still got an old Weetabix 3D viewer that I had as a kid off the cereal packet...

Re: MC 20 question...

The interesting comparison for me was the 40-150 plus MC20 at 300mm vs the 300mm lens alone. I'd say the 300mm was definitely a bit better but not by much. Nice to know. Now if you could do a...
