Re: Can you set the directional pad to press and hold?

Yeah I tried that too, but I also prefer to have the d-pad set to move the AF points and when you have it set like this you can't change the AF pattern or face detection. I guess I just have to stop...

Re: Monday's Moon from 'downunder'.

Really nice. I don't know about the DTC, I'll have to do some reading up on this.

Re: Can you set the directional pad to press and hold?

Thanks, that's useful to know.

I'd still like to be able to do the press and hold though, even for things like selecting drive modes in the SCP.

Can you set the directional pad to press and hold?

When moving the AF points, or moving through menus can you set the directional pad buttons so that you can press and hold so that it scrolls up/down/left/right rather than having to keep pressing the...

Re: Alternative Eye Cups?

Eyecup arrived today. Thoughts are that it doesn't look as good on the camera but it is much better. I don't have to crush my nose against the LCD to get a good seal around my eye now :tup

Re: Panasonic 100-400mm test shots

Thanks. Oops, not good :( I always have my gear insured :tup

Thanks. I'm yet to give it a proper outing, but shots so far look promising. I don't find the switches an problem to be honest, but my...

Has anyone used the Sigma 56mm F1.4

Has anyone used this lens and can comment on the IQ, particularly subject isolation/pop and Ď3Dí look? I know reviews seem to marvel at the sharpness and bokeh, but Iím more interested in the 3...

Panasonic 100-400mm test shots

Not the greatest shot but was having a play with the newly acquired 100-400mm again today and have to say I'm pretty impressed with the detail (might be best viewed on Flickr). This is about a 50%...

Re: Alternative Eye Cups?

I've just been looking into the large eyecup and looking at images it seems to 'overhang' the LCD screen, have you found any hinderance with the large eye cup when trying to flip out the vari-angle...

Re: Long Tailed Tit

I've not seen that on the road map, I'll check it out. The 150-400mm f4.5 will no doubt be WELL outside my budget, and I'm guessing will be around the 2kg mark, and it's due to wanting to reduce...

Re: Long Tailed Tit

Thanks. I've never been happy with any 2xTC's I've tried tbh as I think they degrade IQ that bit too much, especially with subjects at a distance.

It will be interesting to see how the 2x is on...

Alternative Eye Cups?

Can anyone recommend any alternative eye cups for the EM1-II, it doesn't seem as good to use as the Mark I imo? Does the Mark I fit the Mark II?

Re: Long Tailed Tit

Thanks for the feedback. I've since done some reading and it seems that it is common and nothing to worry about. It is the weather seal making it stiff and not the mount itself per se, therefore it...

Thatís interesting. Mineís a very tight fit, so much so that I half expected metal shavings to be all over the inside of my camera the first time I put it on
