Re: Can you improve.?

I think one of the factors is that simply by being involved and talking about it, and seeing other people's work, we think more about our own and put more thought into it as a result. This means that...

Re: EM1 and Canon EF lens via adaptor any good?

I don't have any experience of this, but I'm pretty sure we have a few people here who do use Canon lenses on an E-M1. I don't know anything about adapters that provide full control, but another...

Re: Olympus lens + MMF1 + EC-14

MMF-3 is a better bet anyway as it includes weathersealing.

Re: Olympus lens + MMF1 + EC-14

Just one small point to add - the MMF-1 converter won't have any effect at all on image quality. It is just a tube with no glass elements in it - a 4/3 mount on the lens end, a micro-4/3 mount on the...

Re: Empty Glass

And, back on topic :) .......

That's a really interesting shot. It is very difficult to photograph glass convincingly, most of the illustrations of "correct" technique that I have seen completely...

Re: Olympus lens + MMF1 + EC-14

I used to use the 50-200 & EC-14 together on the 4/3 bodies, they work together very well. I have since used them on micro-4/3 bodies (using the weathersealed MMF-3 adapter - I photograph rugby so...

Re: Olympus lens + MMF1 + EC-14

Yes :)

Except that as far as I remember the MMF-1 is not weather-sealed so if that is important to you, be careful. The newer MMF-3 is sealed.

Re: How do you add a photo here?

Or, once you have saved it in the gallery, click the "My pics" button to the right of the compose box. This opens a new window with all your photos in, and there is a pulldown with the option to...

Re: David Hurn - A life in pictures

Thank you so much for sharing this Steve. I missed it in the Christmas schedules so it was good to be able to catch up. Very interesting. I like his attitude - no boasting, no false modesty either,...

Yes, I think this is the first one you've shown where I get properly what you are trying to do, and it works well.

And if you normally have them switched off but want to do a quick check, just hover the mouse pointer over the little triangles.

Re: 150mm f/2 at LCE

Fair point. Actually it's not that bad - adds up to quite a chunk if you put it on the 2x converter as well though.

150mm f/2 at LCE

I'm not really sure whether this is the best section of the forum for this, but I'll stick it here anyway.

London Camera Exchange have a used 150mm f/2 4/3 lens, with MMF-3 micro 4/3 adapter, at...

Re: Today Didn't Happen !

Obviously the offer of 20Gb of data is attractive to you Mark. From what you have told us about Aussie broadband it would take from here to eternity to download that much!

Re: Robin Wong review of 17mm f1.2

I think he parted company with Oly a few months ago. He was always quite upfront about his connections, from what I remember.

Re: Oh What A Fool I Am

Schoolboy error I'm afraid John. In this country, trains and Sundays go together like peaches and creosote. This is nothing new - as a lifelong non-driver I long ago learned to avoid travelling on...

Re: First attempt at cricket photography

I did wonder about that - and most cricket lasts a lot longer than half an hour!

I have tried various sequential shooting options and never really been happy with the results. Oddly, for batsmen...

Re: First attempt at cricket photography

Looks pretty good to me - composition, focus, exposure, lighting etc. all very good, and perfect timing. If it were my shot I would be very pleased with it.

Looking for possible ways to improve it...

Re: Recognise them?

Condom used to be a popular tour destination for English rugby clubs, who would pinch the town sign as a souvenir. Quite a while ago, the French rugby team had a player called Jean Condom. This was...
