Re: Buyer's Remorse

Interesting situation, doesn't sound like that shop is very bothered about it's customer service reputation to me. Surely they would have been better to just swap it for a Samsung for you to keep the...

Re: A few from the Oculus shopping centre in NYC

Number three is my favourite too but I'm glad you posted all three though Paul or I'd have had trouble working out how it was actually laid out. I presume that they are birds on the top in #3? they...

Re: Image with new toy.

I wax quite suprised how well it held up. More to do with the quality of the glass than the person pushing the shutter I expect. Oh and actually the first shot I posted was a bit cropped already if I...

Re: My First Images WIth a Digital Olympus

I like the snowy canal scene too, lovely composition. Considering you used such a high iso I'd say the noise wasn't that bad. I think I'd have gone with iso 200, f8 and whatever shutter speed that...

Re: Short visit to UK.

Yes it's a magic place Rob and I can also add the food is excellent. I had Sweet Potato and Coconut soup and Homity Pie for lunch and can definitely recommend it.

Henry I've sent you a Google map link via your email so you can look at the route we actually took. Hope that comes through to you in the UK. If not let me know and I can post a screenshot of the map...

Image with new toy.

One of my first shots with my 12-100 lens. A bit of a dull day but I think I'm going to like this one. Many thanks to Blu-by-u for your excellent personal delivery service ;)

Re: How do you add a photo here?

Don't want to stir this up again but just wanted to say that for me using the gallery here and posting images seems pretty simple and straightforward. OK maybe I'm used to it and it's a bit different...

Re: Snaking away into distant Edale, Derbyshire

Excellent shot Chris, very different. I really like the way you've managed to get the snaking light trail and still keep the slight sunset or early morning? glow and also show a hint of snow in the...

Re: How do you add a photo here?

I tend to save them as 960 wide and no bigger than 500kb using Lightroom. Best to save them on the gallery and then copy the code shown in the box below into your post. That way the image appears in...

Re: Puddles on Curbar Edge in Derbyshire

Thanks guys, this was definitely a case of right place right time :) It's a long way from the sea but those rocks and puddles made me think of one of those low level beach seashore shots.

Puddles on Curbar Edge in Derbyshire

I got lucky with the weather and shot these puddles on Curbar Edge in a lovely sunny interlude after the morning rain and fog.
