Re: So, is the AF better with firmware 3?

Yeah, that first link seems to open up the Users Albums (mine for me), but thanks as that works now for Mik's photos.

Re: 300mmm F4 rear cover part falling off!

That rear cover looks like it was glued with a silicon glue. I think I would be just using some glue of the same type myself (but removing the old glue first) if it was out of warranty & if the red...

Re: New MC 20 announced.

Some stock did come in early but the next lot is estimated to come in early August. One Western Australian supplier had one in stock but when I did the online check, later that day they replied that...

Re: Another MC20 question...

I have the MC20 on order (downunder) but I won't be selling the MC14 though. There will be uses for both. With the 40-150 lens there is the possibility of that range at F2.8, 56-210mm at F4 & now...

Re: New MC 20 announced.

I don't have the 300 F4 (yet) but I've placed an order for the MC20 (first lot of stock has sold out downunder) to go with my 40-150 lens. Hopefully the money spent will be worth it (AU$648). I got...

Re: Mistletoe

That's interesting to see how mistletoe grows there, but it is similar here in the gum trees as it mimics the gum tree leaf (https://www.backyardbuddies.org.au/backyard-buddies/mistletoe) (but still...

Re: Firmware versions

It's my second camera so good to know it's possible to use it (in good light, I guess).

Re: Windows 10 raw file preview

I won't be putting Win10 on my present laptop but maybe I'll treat myself to a new laptop in the new year, perhaps, although this HP laptop (17" i7) has been good. It annoys me that certain things in...

Re: The hidden world of a Satin Bowerbird (male).

Thanks for the likes. I noticed the male had enticed a female into his bower as she was standing in the middle of it, but unfortunately it wasn’t possible to get a photo of her there though. I’ll...

Re: Would you like your fish battered Ma'am?

A well battered fish there! *yes The last one looks like the fish is struggling to say, "Arrgh, I've been totally battered." ;)

The bird looks good though. :D

The hidden world of a Satin Bowerbird (male).

This male Bowerbird has conveniently built his bower in our front garden but inconveniently somewhat obscured from view. This is the only type of view I get without scaring the bird off....

Re: Firmware 3.1 out

Thankfully they did. ;) :) One source had issues with video/sound not syncing correctly for external HDMI recording & now it's fixed. *clap

Re: Firmware 3.1 out

Thanks. All done (quickly took SD cards out, put in full battery & removed lens, just to minimise any issues). *yes

There is one thing though, you will need to reassign the SD card recording order...

Re: LCE em1x

But the R&D isn't wasted as it will be used (to some degree) in following models as well. Unfortunately, some existing M4/3's users have this idea that "Micro" means a small camera (& lenses) & are...

Re: LCE em1x

This is where I think Olympus has done the right thing (so long as they can bring more AI modes soon as well), but more for it being a show piece there at the top & attracting buyers to lower models...

Re: Another Satin Bowerbird (in privet).

Thank you Mark. Can't say I'm a fan of Old Blue Eyes, but Terence Hill comes to mind though in "My Name is Nobody (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Name_Is_Nobody)" movie. ;) He had piercing blue...

Another Satin Bowerbird (in privet).

Here are six (cropped) photos of a Satin Bowerbird consuming privet fruit (& responsible for spreading the weed) this afternoon.

Turpentine appetite.

That is, this Crimson Rosella has an appetite for the seeds of the Turpentine tree (Syncarpia glomulifera).

Re: So, is the AF better with firmware 3?

Now why didn't I think of that? Yes, the touch focus gives a range of X 3 to X 5, so should help if trying to isolate the focus around the centre in video.
