I think you might be right about cropping the bottom.
I made a mistake in the title, it is not Derwentwater it is Derwent Reservoir, just off Snake Pass between Manchester and Sheffield....

Yes I agree but I emailed in advance and the rule is no cameras with detachable lenses. The search was cursory so I could easily have got in with my EM5 mk2, but didnt want to risk it, very happy...

Derwent reservoir.
