The lenshood with the opening to allow a finger to rotate the polarising filter on a 12 - 40mm Pro lens has arrived. It fits and the hole in the lenshood does allow one to rotate the filter.

On my 75-300 lens there is a flat spot at the rear of the lens on the lowest part when mounted on the camera. Perhaps you can feel that as an orientation mark.

Somewhere in the file name section you have the File name set to Reset and not Auto, so search all the settings and correct the File Name value to auto and then Save / update the the custom setting...

I have just discovered on e-Bay a JJC version of the lenshood for the 12-40mm Pro lens.
It has an opening aperture on the side so that the filter can be rotated.
I have one on order.

I have set up the camera with the file name number protocol before I define the Custom mode settings for C1, C2 and C3. I do not return to the file name settings ever.

Why do you convert the images to DNG, from what I have seen the DNG does not (or didnot suppport all the information in the Raw file ie focus point).

Be aware that the there is a bit of flexibility regarding file names, in my user manual detailing with the H1 Record//Erase section you have the option of reseting the numeric part of the file name...

To usefullyy use a polarising filter it has to be rotated to alter the colour saturation, change the impact of clouds and remove reflections from shiny / reflective items.
