Re: Superb Blue Fairy Wren

Yes, very pretty bird with an apt name.

Re: Fields of Blue

Doesn't look like flax/linseed to me, but I don't know what it is!

Re: A "grassbow"?

Maybe a 'dewbow'?

Atoptics is an excellent site, full of interesting atmospheric optical phenomena.

I suspect that in a few days it'll be over its best.

Interesting link Graham. I wonder what 'Project La, La, La I can't Hear You' make of it?

Re: Political: We're doomed, Captain Mannering...

So are you suggesting that motor manufacturers are scaremongering and why would they want to do that?

Re: Political: We're doomed, Captain Mannering...

The C.B.I. have reported that car manufacturers are getting very anxious about their future in the U.K.. Still, they're incompetent as has already been established on this forum and therefore deserve...

Re: Political: We're doomed, Captain Mannering...

I agree, but I would also say there there will be riots later as 'Project Reality' really starts biting. Many of the turkeys that voted for Christmas are already getting windy as they hear the sound...

Re: Bearded Tit

Great shots - makes me envious.

(The tit in the last one looks somehow malevolent!)

Re: Rock for ID?

The sharp, unweathered fractures suggest something much harder than marble.

I've see loose lumps of quartz like that on the plateaus of the Cairngorms. They always reminded me of coconut ice at a...

Re: Political: We're doomed, Captain Mannering...

Can't see what that's got to do with Brexit or the E.U.!

(Wait a minute - maybe British manufacturers are favourite because the pound is so cheap and if the pound continues to sag, the Canadians...

Re: Scilly Isle

I'd love to visit South Georgia. Just be dropped off with my camping gear and food, and left to myself for a month or so. I like the feeling of isolation and being alone!

Re: Autumn colours - North

So you decided to stick to Lyme Regis in Dorset, then!

If you disagree with a Wikipedia entry, because you know better - edit it!
