Re: A few more from Maline Lake and Canyon

The sun was a bit of an issue. I just about got away with it in #2. Also the lake is rather odd - it's not really a lake but a partially blocked river. At this time of the year it's rather empty on...

Re: A few more from Maline Lake and Canyon

We will have to disagree about the sun!

Re: Spirit Island, Maline Lake

Here are a few more in the same area. I was a bit constrained by lack of time and it was very icy underfoot!

Spirit Island, Maline Lake

Taken on a recent visit to Canada. Maline Lake is in Jasper National Park.

A much-photographed location but I was pleased with these, helped by an unusually early snowfall.

Re: Electric Car Question

There's a huge amount of research into batteries and other power sources and I suspect that a few more increases in range and reduced charge times will see an explosion in sales.

The design is based on the HST aka Intercity 125 which is still running in the UK. They are now being retired from front-line duty between London and the West of England and Wales but some of them...

Re: Coming to terms using flckr - Advice appreciated.

Hi Ross

The images look fine - no problems there!

You may want to reduce the size of your uploads and/or restrict the ability to download images.

I change the titles of the images from the...

Re: What programs for panorama stitching Mk II photos?

Affinity Photo will give you integrated panorama stitching, focus and exposure stacking, for less than 50. Cheaper than some of the stand-alone tools or Lightroom add-ins. I use mine in conjunction...

Re: So much for anti-virus software!

Win 10 has settled down into a mature and stable system. Updates can be a problem when they happen at the wrong time. Win 10 Pro gives a lot more control if you want to spend the extra money for it....

Re: It's Not Cricket!

The much revered W.G.Grace was a great cricketer and a renowned cheat.

Essex fast bowler Charles Kortright was incensed by some sledging and bombarded him with short balls, getting Grace LBW and...

Re: Fujifilm X-H1

A fair proportion of people in my camera club have moved from Canon to Fuji. A bit of herd mentality at play I suspect. Personally, I find them not as well made as Olympus and with too many fiddly...

Another vote for KeePass. It's free and open source. I use it on desktop, laptop and Android phone. The database is kept in OneDrive.
