Ricoh is absolutely right in that
film cameras smell of stuff and digital cameras don't.
I put it down to the absence of film, and the presence of plenty of bare metal.

Yes I batch resize/rename using Faststone too, very good with no awkward bit,
but I really use it for jpeg browsing because it has no hesitation (on, working, instantly) and a superbly easy crop...

I seem to remember there is at least one RAW processor which defaults to "no jpeg settings", maybe it was a DPReview thread somewhere.

Stuart please correct me if I'm wrong, but you want to see (and quickly flick back and forth) both mono and colour versions of each shot, right?

It arrived this morning!
£219 with the kit zoom and the 43mm,
but it is dark so hardly any testing.
It took me a while to find out how to even change the menu to English
so I could format a card...
