Re: A visit to Nairobi National Park

A great set, which shows that many species can still thrive close to a city, provided their habitat is protected.

Glad to hear you are on the road to recovery from a very nasty illness and hope...

Well done for making every shot count! This is an excellent set with a real vintage feel and proof that you don't need expensive equipment to make great photographs. *chr

Interesting that he has chosen the colour version - after all, he is the customer!

Re: Blowing your own trumpet

I prefer the B&W, it is also a tighter, cleaner composition.

Re: Back in business

It's a deliberate and cynical strategy to lever more money out of the consumer. Canon are one of the worst offenders with their printers, updating them regularly by design rather than specification...

Re: Psychiatry?

That does seem very strange; also a complete waste of time and money with no benefit to the patient!

Re: Honestly, do you like autofocus?

That's okay if you're using a lens with a shortish focal length and a small aperture, but if you want subject isolation AF is a clear winner

"It's fine if you want to watch the football, I'll just go to bed early."

At which point, if you have any sense, you'll reply, "Well, I don't suppose it will be a very exciting match with those...
