Re: Art, or do you have you a diferent opinion?

Re: Echo

Thanks John. I'm liking the Pen F; the half frame acts like a grain magnifier, and that's only 400 ISO. At some point I'd like to up that to 3200 to get snowball sized gain.

Re: Basic negative scanner advice

Assuming you don't want to spend too much (how long is that string?) have a look at the Lomography website. They have a scanner designed to image negs (slides as well I think) using a mobile phone -...

Re: LCD screen

There's only a few ways of communicating and transferring power through a rotating interface, the same limitations apply irrespective of the badge on the camera / device.
Power has to be...

Re: LCD screen

Unless the display connectivity is via slip rings it does sound plausible that the display has a right and a wrong way of twisting. If it's a small bundle of wires or flexi-printed-circuit, it's only...

Re: Ship Shape

Newton's third law - is the con trail going faster than the pigeon (hidden behind the ship) which is flying in the same direction as the ship?

Re: LCD screen

Ah, the twists and turns of digital photography. Rather fitting, either on or off, 1's or 0's. Ignore the screen and shot like a pro.

Re: Future of batteries?

Material science fascinates me, I always want to know what goes on inside, rather than what you can do with the resulting products.

Unfortunately when it comes to innovations the U.K. it has a...

Re: New 35mm 'film' SLR

I have doubts as well, I think the price estimates are quite a way off, 100% at least.

Quite a few of these kikstarter ventures fail through lack of funding. In the case of the Reflex the tooling...

Re: Art, or do you have you a diferent opinion?

Instant photographs, the ones you can physically hold and pass around without the need for an electronic gadget are very popular. Instax for example.

Re: New 35mm 'film' SLR

Gorgeous cam - you've bought one, good for you if you have. One of the best, but the M2 is equally seductive, and not silly money.

Regarding your Pen Fd - you're realistic I'm sure, but 5.8 years...
