Re: Just a tree....

Works well. Another nice reminder that a dull day doesn’t necessarily mean no photos.

Number 1 for me (but close run with number 2) thanks to the lovely use of negative space.

Re: Quiraing

The dark treatment looks exactly right to me, suggesting dusk (or dawn) very well.

Re: Grey days on Skye

There is no such thing as bad light, only bad choices in how to use that light. You seem to have the knack of making good choices, selecting compositions that work well with soft or flat light and...

Re: Upgrade to weather sealed

Here's my take:

- There's virtually nothing between the E-M1 and E-M5ii in terms of IQ in normal circumstances, but for long exposures (30s or greater), the E-M1 is WORSE - you get terrible chroma...

Re: Upgrade to weather sealed

My view - the original E-M1 (or "Mark I" as it was never called until there was a Mark II) is incredibly cheap on the used market and superb value. It was the top of the range Pro body until a...

Re: Abandoned cemetery

Churchyards, especially the unspoiled ones, are often difficult to image because they’re such a jumble, but those are very well seen.
