Re: Ended AP

About 4 years ago I was at an Oly event co-sponsored by Practical Photography. In a conversation with the editor he said that I was not his market. It was (is?) the new photographer and he expected...

Re: Not Oly but a different set of street pictures

Interesting isn't it that so many people are arguing over whether it is man-made or not. Evidence is it is happening. If it does indeed turn out to be our fault then sitting arguing about it will...

Re: Unless you've got a helicopter ......

Ditch the Sat Nav it's a 5min drive from the A21 most of it along a road wide enough for two trucks to pass. Must admit some of the country roads in the area are bit tight but you very rarely need to...

Interesting Article LR vs CO

Granted this is by nature likely to have some bias, given its source (Photoshop User a Scott Kelby mag) but it seems on the face of it a well-balanced look at the two as raw processors.

Re: Umbrellas for flash

Try looking at Cotswold Photo on EBay, they do some decent stuff. Also bought some cheap reflectors branded Photo R. Only experience with Neewer has been a tripod plate and a clamp both seem well...

Re: Black and White - Is digital up to it?

I agree with Otto. I produced prints using such that were in my successful LRPS panel. Silver Fx is worth getting it makes manipulation of tones easier. Also there is chart at the bottom that allows...

Lightroom and older lenses

Many of you may do this already but I thought I would post this link on dealing with distortion and chromatic aberration in Lightroom on old lenses.

Re: Flash White Balance and CWB

I don't know if this is relevant but there is a setting in the cog menu somewhere that overrides WB settings when using Oly flashes. The default is on. May have nothing to do with your problem but...

Re: Some shots returning from the Pen F launch

I used to use Tower Hill every day for a few years and never saw the oppo for a shot. It shows that familiarity can breed blindness. As usual good shots Paul.

Re: The new Pen-F

If I wasn't pretty near bankrupt from GAS this year I would consider it as a replacement for my EM5, which I usually use for street pics. The rangefinder placement of the evf and the ability to shift...

Re: Any Printer opinions here?

Have used an Epson 2880. For a few years including printing my LRPS panel. My only complaint was the small size of the cartridges. The SC-P600, its predecessor, has bigger tanks and the output I have...
