Thanks Mark, tried those before posting here; the external re-set button combination doesn't cure the problem.
Certainly from the E300 on, you can access a hidden service menu and re-set function,...

Yep, tried that, but thanks anyway.
Being weather sealed, it's also a bit awkward to add IPA or switch cleaner.

I didn't, as well as My E-5, E3, and E-1, I bought a spare E-1 in case my original ever packs up.
Accept its limitations and it still gives super results.
