Those are wonderful. The eye on the bug is exquisite. And the proboscis too.

I have no idea how you get the depth of focus you do with the high magnification. I applaud all of the macro...

This was a completely natural field in rural France in the Cevennes. i'm sure someone else can name the dozens of wildflowers which were a feature of the field. This was what we had before...

A lovely sight and picture

It is a cornflower, a once common part of the cornfield alongside poppies and some much scarcer and lovely wild flowers. But as most UK fields are dosed with herbicides...

Sadly I have watched the fat pigeon nearly breaking the branch (its only a young tree) to gorge itself, I hate pigeons more than squirrels. :)

The blackbirds seem to enjoy the blue...
