Re: Long Dilemma - please help

If CAF is not a must have and long focal length is a main priority another option is the Canon 400/5.6. Very sharp and faster than the Panasonic. Lack of IS is not an issue as the IBIS does this,...

Re: The Most Deadly British Mushroom, the Death Cap

Fly Agaric was once used by some Sami shamans in the North. The practice was much more widespread among indigenous people in Siberia. It included recycling the ibotenic acid excreted in the urine to...

Re: The Most Deadly British Mushroom, the Death Cap

Vikings consuming Fly Agaric as a preparation for battle is a total misconception. This myth is the result of poorly conducted research in the late 18th century. The effect of ibotenic acid would be...

Re: The Most Deadly British Mushroom, the Death Cap

This is the most toxic fungi not only in Britain but in the whole of Europe. It is believed that as little as 30g is a lethal dose. The toxin is Amatoxin which causes liver and kidney failure leading...

Bluebird?

While patiently waiting for the right occasion I was approached by some people of Indian look that were intrigued about what I was doing. I pointed out the Kingfishers for them, let them have a look...

Re: AF not as accurate

Ron,

These are indeed out of focus. It looks like front focus as the tail seems sharper than the beak (photos 1 and 2), however as you write the bird occupies too little of the frame to draw...

BIF using CAF with Canon 400/5.6 and metabones

This lens will produce great results i S-AF but up until the other day I never really got any satisfying results in C-AF (I have mostly used it with the E-M1 Mark 1 so far).

I gave it a new try...

I'm sad to read that. May I ask what lens you are using? 50-200SWD + EC14?

Could you post some photos for us to have a look what could be wrong? If possible with some...

Re: Terns Fishing Over Sea

Hi Ron,

After checking and adjusting the AF calibration on my copy of the 50-200SWD + EC14 (it was front focusing and required -4 on the telephoto end, which is quite a lot) I gave it a new try...
