Re: Olympus 1.4 mc 14

I have 2 x 6mm black flat cross headed screws in the collection of laptop screws I bought off eBay for a few quid. If you want a couple posted I’m happy to help, perhaps measure the head width too. I...

Re: Olympus 1.4 mc 14

Not sure exactly what you need to replace - I had a couple of tiny screws disappear from my laptop. I hunted in vain for the specific ones I needed but ended up buying a job lot of all sorts from...

Re: Lens for weddings

FWIW the 17mm f1.8 has the focus clutch and works with peaking on my em10ii.
It’s the lens ive used at the last two weddings I’ve been to as a guest only.
I’m sure you’re doing your planning...

Re: Ennerdale water sunrise

They're both cracking shots. I prefer the colours of the first but the composition of the second with the wave not cut by the bottom of the frame is more pleasing.
I'd be interested to see one with...

FWIW this was the best value "small" UHS-II card I could find last week.
Lexar 1000x 32GB for 26.56 from Amazon (direct not marketplace).
I've tested it and it looks OK, time will tell on...

Re: Mount on E-M10

Not tried that lens on my E-M10ii but I have noticed there are some minor variations in the lens mounts for my E-PL5, E-M10 and E-M10ii.
On the E-PL5 and 10ii my Holga lens - which has a very stiff...

Re: Flickr changes - the end of the free 1TB

It was missing in the iOS app yesterday too so I dropped them a line.
To be fair they replied quite quickly.

It’s back in the app this morning so hopefully just a minor glitch ;)

Re: Lens recommendation

If you've never dabbled in Macro you could try extension tubes with your existing lenses.

I bought some FOTGA tubes for a few quid and had a try. They have electrical contacts so allow aperture...

Re: Some of my portraits...

Great picture!
Lots of character in the face, sharp and good isolation from the background.
I would try dropping the blacks - in lightroom - or using the tone curve to increase the contrast...

Norwich to London - Holga plastic lens

Had a trip the That London the other day. As I knew the light would be terrible and the train windows filthy I decided to forgo a "real lens" and take my toy instead.

Taken with the Olympus E-M10...

Re: Apple privacy...?.

Not had that with iBooks but Apple already know everything about me via my iPhone so that battle is more or less lost.

I particularly like the final one as there's a story to the image - very good! :)

Re: Horsey Grey Seals, Norfolk, UK

We haven't been this year, in previous years I've not had problems getting good images with a 40-150 lens. You get the heavy tripod, camo and white bazooka lens Canikon shooters there too.

Re: 3, 2, 1 or none at all?

Yup the single disco duck is the best at this display size for my money :)

Re: Pinhole (#23)

Great composition and freezing the action with a pinhole is quite a feat :)
I must crack my homemade job out again and see what I can find along with the Holga :)

Re: Panasonic 15mm f1.7 suitable companion?

There was a poster over at Talk Photography who'd bought one then tried to sell it on. They may be a poster here too but I don't recognise the same name.
It seemed to hang around for ages then IIRC...
