Re: 1MK11 off moment

Maybe my assumption is wrong but then with that scenario it's quite possible then I guess (if there's enough time between sets of frames).

Re: Olympus Report Lower Mirrorless Sales

No, I don't think that would/should be a problem, although I know other companies have folded in the past. Remember Panasonic make their own ordinary lenses but need the Leica branding for the better...

Re: 1MK11 off moment

They should be fine (I use them). I think it is most likely the hand pressing the grip's shutter button because I've done it myself. On the E-M5 HLD-6 grip the button is exposed but also not totally...

Re: Olympus Report Lower Mirrorless Sales

This is mostly where the ‘converted’ come & yes, we do discuss models etc & can encourage each other in our buying decisions, but I think it is better & more outside marketing that brings in the...

Re: 1MK11 off moment

I suspect it was an accidental press of the shutter button, especially if the HLD-9 grip was attached & enabled, as that can easily be pressed with the side of the hand.

Re: New Olympus Patent: 400mm f4.0 MFT Lens

I had one person suggest going for the Lumix FZ1000 with 24-400 (equiv) F2.8-4.0 using 1" sensor. It's selling for $900 & might be a poor man's option, but I really would like that Oly 150-400 lens...

Re: Flickr Etiquette

I have back-up hard drives for all mine, but to find them when I want to........ I wouldn't & don't intend having anything online as backup though.

Re: Flickr Etiquette

I am also getting to terms with flickr, being grateful to others here for help & also following me, but I haven't returned the favour yet.

I am guilty of that just now (uploaded 13 snapshots,...

Re: Man with phone in hand.........

Thanks. Security? It was fairly quite around there with a only a few people passing. I am still very careful in busier places.

Thanks. The photo was taken with E-M1 Mk II & 12-40 F2.8 lens...

Re: New Olympus Patent: 400mm f4.0 MFT Lens

I don't know how much the 150-400 is likely to cost as they are only going to announce (in March) that they're going to produce it for the end of next year, but maybe I'm hoping & wishing for more...

Re: Olympus Report Lower Mirrorless Sales

I wouldn't be as worried, although I do feel for the E-M5 MK II users wanting to update to a later model. The word out (yes, from Simon) is that no new model of that level is planned. The shifting of...

Re: New Olympus Patent: 400mm f4.0 MFT Lens

It's likely for the same reasons as the F1.0 primes that were shelved in favour of the f1.2 prime lenses instead. They were heavy & expensive while the f1.2 lenses had a better chance of selling. I...

Re: New Olympus Patent: 400mm f4.0 MFT Lens

I'm waiting for (& hoping I can afford) the 150-400 f4.0-5.6 lens that is said to be announced next March, being available at the end of 2019. Good zooms are my preference.

Re: Desert Rose flower buds opening time-lapse (upgraded)

Thanks All.

At least my sequence is real & not artificial. ;) :D The changing light was from trees outside casting shadows (& a dirty window) as the sun progressed across. These flowers opened...

Re: OI.Share question

You are saving JPEG (as well as raw) on you EM10 Mk II, aren't you?
PS It's not an E10 but an EM10. An E10 was an early bridge camera model (if I have that right).

Re: Wrong EXIF date

It is likely in the added lists of lens data & somehow it was selected.

Re: Using video with the OMD EM1 mk2

I use VLC on a PC. I don't know if that is available for a mac though.

Also, Olympus Viewer 3 can save (convert) the video file as MP4 if desired.

Thanks for that. I notice only Pro flickr accounts get the current uploader but I'll have to checkout this older version then. *yes
