Re: Photo Show E-Group name badge

That's a good question OM, I just printed the file to A4 and from the original powerpoint the badge came out 12cm long and from the jpg it was 14cm long. Believe it or not I just found an old lanyard...

I've had some success in the past at Shirley Heights. I'm not sure from your description whether that is where you are or at Fort Berkley. There are some places up the west coast where you can get...

Re: Is the Nokia 9 a game changer

It obviously can't do the depth of field stuff or auto focussing when used as a digiscope, but you still have the opportunity to use either a single colour camera or indeed a single mono. Same...

DIY Kruger Safari - the kit

Africa is dusty and the dust penetrates everything. It can also be very wet. Both these issues point towards a pro body with a pro lens. Consumer grade kit will do but you will need to be very...

Re: Thornton Pickard 5x4" half-plate view camera?

The Lens Collector’s Vade Mecum has a short entry for Thornton-Pickard. They were based in Altrincham (a stone’s throw from me in Sale!). Dates are roughly 1890 to 1930.

They didn’t make lenses...
